This project was built, designed and decorated by Quality Home Renovators (QHR)! This 1920’s living room had a long, narrow layout (12’x24′) with a fireplace right in the middle. Needless to say, it was a challenge to decorate! QHR removed the original wood flooring because sadly it just could not be salvaged. Reclaimed heart pine floors were installed that were extracted from a factory in Chicago. The factory beams were milled into flooring. After re-framing of the walls, some additional structural piers were added under the house and the house was jacked to a level elevation. New windows and doors were installed. Recessed lights were added to brighten up this space along with a new fireplace hearth and a fresh coat of paint. Plantation shutters were added to give the room a fresh and simplistic feel!
